It is very tragic that so many Americans are going uninsured these days.
A study released in 2006 stated the percentage of working-age Americans with moderate to middle incomes lacking health insurance, for at smallest part of the year, rose to 41 percent in 2005. This is a dramatic increase from 2001 when only 28 percent go without coverage.
The study said that more than half of the uninsured Americans adults indicated they were having problems paying their medical bills or even had incurred debt to cover their expenses, according to a report by the Commonwealth Fund, a New York-based private, health care policy foundation. The study included 4,350 adults.
