Gov. John Lynch is insisting parents to send their kids back to school this fall with health insurance.
Speaking at a school, Lynch made a point yesterday for the state's Healthy Kids Children's Health Insurance Program. Lynch said healthy kids learn better and miss fewer days of school that means their parents miss fewer days of work.
He said children without health insurance be apt to get too much of their care in emergency rooms or after their conditions have deteriorated, and the higher costs are passed on to everyone as higher health insurance premiums.
