Fewer Montana children have health insurance, a recent Montana Kids Count report says. The University of Montana Bureau of Business and Economic Research also produces the annual survey.
Latest statistics show that 37,000 of the states children under 18 had no health insurance coverage. Thats 16 percent of Montanas children, contrasted with the national average of 12 percent. Four years ago, 19 percent of Montana children that are living under the federal poverty income level had no health insurance, by 2005, that figure had grown to 29 percent.
